Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 5, 2026
At Corcept Tools, we believe that your data belongs to you. Our digital workspace is built on a "Privacy-First Logic" architecture. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, what we collect, and how we protect your privacy when you use our suite of utilities.
1. How Our Tools Process Your Data
We designed our platform to keep your files as secure as possible by processing data locally whenever feasible.
- Local Browser Processing: The vast majority of our tools (such as PDF Merge, Split, Rotate, and basic Image Utilities) run entirely inside your local web browser. Your files never leave your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
- Server-Side Processing & AI Tools: Certain heavy computational tasks (like AI Text-to-Speech, AI Background Removal, and high-res server-side document assembly) require server processing. For these tools, your file is transferred over an encrypted HTTPS bridge.
- Immediate Deletion: Any file uploaded to our server for processing is stored temporarily in memory and is deleted immediately after the final output is generated and delivered back to you. We do not keep backups of your files or generated media.
2. Information We Collect
To provide a smooth experience and prevent abuse of our platform, we collect minimal data:
- Account Information: If you register for an account to unlock PRO tools, we collect your email address and authentication details.
- Usage & Credits: We track your daily tool usage and credit balance. If you are using the site as a Guest, we generate a secure hash of your IP address to allocate your daily free credits and prevent spam.
- Basic Analytics: We log basic, non-identifiable interaction events (e.g., "User opened 3D Render Studio") to help us understand which tools are popular and to improve system performance.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use standard session cookies to keep you securely logged in. We also utilize your browser's Local Storage to save your workspace preferences, UI theme choices, and temporary session drafts (e.g., your unsaved DocuFlow or Site Builder projects). This data remains on your device.
4. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense
We may use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect non-personal information about your visits to this and other websites in order to serve relevant ads.
- Third-Party Vendors: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to Corcept Tools or other websites on the Internet.
- Advertising Cookies: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve targeted ads to our users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites across the Web.
- Opting Out: You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
5. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, uploaded files, or generated outputs to any third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share minimal data with trusted third-party service providers solely for the purpose of operating our platform (e.g., secure payment processors like Stripe for handling credit purchases, or authorized API providers for specific AI functions). These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
6. Security
We take the security of your digital workspace seriously. All data transfers are encrypted using industry-standard SSL/HTTPS protocols. Our servers are secured and regularly monitored to prevent unauthorized access.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, modify, or delete the personal data associated with your account. If you wish to close your account and have all your data wiped from our database, please contact our support team, and we will fulfill your request promptly.
8. Contact Us
